A Castle of Comfort,
Built to Last.

Castle Comfort designs, installs and maintains heating and cooling for homes and light-commercial buildings, starting with how your home actually works, not a rule of thumb.

Owner-operated. Every job is designed by David and led by him on site.

Services

Everything Your Home Needs.

Residential homes and light-commercial sites. From a single repair to a fully designed system.

How It All Fits Together

From First Look to Years of Care.

Some people call once, for one thing. Many come back. Every part of the work is connected, and you decide how far to go and how fast.

You Choose

Time, Money and the Result.

  1. Assess.

A conversation and a close look at how your home or building really performs today.

  2. Decide.

You are shown your options and what each one costs in time, money and result. Then you choose.

  3. Act.

Repair what is worth repairing. Upgrade what will help. Replace or design a new system only when it is truly the right answer. Or do nothing, if nothing is needed.

  4. Verify.

The result is measured, so the work is proven rather than assumed.

  5. Care.

Seasonal care keeps it healthy, so small things are caught early and the system lasts.

And the cycle begins again. A yearly check-up is simply a small assessment.

The Castle Standard

Sized by Measurement, Not Guesswork.

Square-footage rules of thumb often produce oversized equipment. An oversized system cools the room fast, shuts off, and never runs long enough to pull humidity out of the air: cold but clammy, and hard on the equipment. A castle is measured before it’s built. So is your system.

  • Room-By-Room Load Calculation.

ACCA Manual J: every window, wall and occupant, not a guess.

  • Equipment Matched to the Load.

Manual S: the right capacity and staging, not the biggest box.

  • Ducts Designed for Real Airflow.

Manual D: so every room actually gets the air it was promised.

  • Verified at the Install, Not Assumed.

Airflow, static pressure and refrigerant charge measured and documented.

A Typical New System

Assess. Design. Build. Verify.

  1. Assess.

A diagnostic visit: airflow, static pressure, humidity, indoor air quality and how the home is actually performing.

  2. Design.

Manual J, S and D calculations, equipment selection and duct design, shown to you as a written plan. He adjusts it with you until it is right.

  3. Build.

Equipment coordinated, ordered and delivered, then installed under David’s direction, with care for the details nobody sees behind the drywall.

  4. Verify & Maintain.

Commissioned with measurements, then maintained on a schedule so it keeps performing for years.

Meet the Owner

One Name on the Work.

David Carlsten has spent 15+ years in commercial and residential HVAC, and he runs Castle Comfort the way he thinks a home should run: as a system. He does the diagnostic, he does the design, and he leads the install, so there is no handoff where the details get lost.

He will tell you what he would do, what it costs, and what the trade-offs are, so the decision is yours, made with the facts.

“A house should feel like a castle: solid, quiet, and comfortable no matter what the weather is doing outside. That takes measuring, not guessing.”
  • 15+ Years Experience
  • ACCA Manual J / S / D
  • EPA 608 Certified
  • Fully Insured

  • 5 out of 5 stars

Placeholder review. Two other companies quoted us a bigger unit. David measured the house and explained why that would have made the humidity worse. He was right.

Placeholder review. Showed up when he said he would, found the actual airflow problem in twenty minutes, and fixed it without trying to sell me a new system.
